MCP server

Let an AI assistant scan link previews, render OG images and create short links. Every tool calls the REST API with your API key, so it needs the same key scope and counts against the same plan limits.

Connect

The remote server speaks Streamable HTTP and is stateless. Authenticate with an API key (sk_live_...) from Developer > API keys.

Claude Desktop and other stdio clients

Clients that only start local servers can reach the hosted endpoint through the mcp-remote bridge. Add it to claude_desktop_config.json:

Tools

scan_urlPOST /v1/scan

Scan a public page: Open Graph / Twitter Card metadata, previews per platform, issues with fix suggestions.

Arguments

  • url (required)

generate_og_imagePOST /v1/images

Render a 1200x630 Open Graph image from a template. Returns the permanent image URL and whether it was cached.

  • templateId (required)
  • params (optional, string map such as title and subtitle)
  • exp (optional, Unix seconds, paid plans: the signed URL expires)

create_template_from_urlPOST /v1/templates/from-url

AI designs a template from a site's brand. Returns the layoutId, the variables to pass and the brand kit. Counts against the plan's AI quota.

list_templatesGET /v1/templates

List the templates the workspace can render, with id, name, version and dimensions.

refresh_previewPOST /v1/refresh

After changing a page's OG tags or image: bumps the og:image cache-buster, re-scrapes Facebook, returns the LinkedIn Post Inspector link and the X cache note.

Errors and limits

  • A missing or malformed key gets 401 with Authorization: Bearer sk_live_... expected.
  • REST errors (401, 402, 403, 429) come back as tool errors that carry the API's message. A 403 means the key lacks the scope that tool needs.
  • Tool results longer than 20,000 characters are truncated.
  • Tools that take a URL reject private and non-HTTP(S) addresses before calling the API.
